Shopping in Thall

Thall does not have a single general store. Instead,
each merchant sells his own goods. To simplify
shopping, here is a village wide-list of goods and
items to purchase, assuming a character has ample time
to visit each shop and purchase what is needed. There
are a few specialty shops, such as the Weapon-smith,
the Stables, the Temple, the Druid’s Grove, and the
Bindery  and each receives individual treatment. Assume there are adequate numbers of most general supplies. (DM’s Note: All
general items and prices are taken from the D&D
Character Generator 1.1. Selected items from the
warped mind of the DM. Individual item descriptions
can be found either in the D&D Character Generator 1.1
or the 3E PHB.)

The Weapon-smith’s

Vaard the Barbarian is the local weaponsmith and
armorer, and he and his two apprentices Hlar and Ivarn
handle all the smithing for the village and
surrounding areas. The bulk of their business comes
from passing caravans and adventuring parties. They
usually have several copies of any weapon lying
around, unless otherwise noted. The local
bowyer/fletcher, a ranger named Thorpe Giantfoe,
leaves bows and arrows he has made at Vaard’s on
consignment. Also, Kergan Stonesmite regularly leaves
a selected number of dwarven made weapons at the shop,
so passing dwarven adventurers won’t have to "settle"
for human weapons. Vaard is skilled enough to craft
masterwork weapons and armor, but does so only on a
commission basis that must be negotiated in advance,
along with a mandatory deposit.

The Stables
John Stablehand and his six sons, four cousins, three
nephews and brother-in-law run the local stables. Not
only can horses and tack be purchased here, but mounts
may be stabled here for a price. John is an honest man
who prefers the company of his charges to people, but
gets along with all (but his brother-in-law).

Steadfast Hall
Deornath and his fellow priests will provide services
and items for both the faithful of Torm and for those
who follow other good or neutral dieties, though he
will refuse aid to others if it is needed for the
faithful first. All prices listed are for those who
are not followers of Torm. The faithful pay half of
the listed price, or pay nothing if deemed worthy by
Deornath. The casting of spells not listed here would
require an audience with Deornath.

The Druid’s Grove
Much like Steadfast Hall, the Druid’s Grove provides
some spells and services to both the followers of
Silvanus and those who follow other good and neutral
dieties. Miori and her apprentice, Delezar, will help
anyone they judge in need. Prices listed are identical
for all, whether they follow Silvanus or not, though
Miori may require a service or boon instead of
monetary payment. In addition, Miori allows those who
need such items to peruse her gardens and pick
blossoms, herbs and spices for a small fee. The
casting of spells not listed here would require an
audience with Miori.

The Bindery
Lui-Shan of Shou-Lung runs the local bindery and
limner shop in Thall. Though not a wizard or sorcerer,
he is the only seller of arcane supplies in the
village, and often comes across various scrolls and
other wizardly items. It is assumed he has sufficient
quantities of the mundane items, with the rarer items
having their number listed in parentheses.
